This coffee comes from the vast savannah Cerrado. This tropical region spans almost 2 million square kilometres and is the most biodiverse savannah in the world. The lot itself was sourced by our friends at Volcafe, who have been working in the region since 1956. Many of these farms are part of Volcafe Way, a unique, responsible sourcing strategy focused on generating profitable sustainability to farmers, support on social and environmental challenges and a focus on data and best practices for measurable results.
Established in 1956, Volcafe Santos works with hundreds of farmers across Cerrado, these farmers send samples to the Volcafe lab in Patrocinio where five cuppers evaluate them and purchase the lots with a focus on curating a cohesive blend.
All our coffees come in fully recyclable packaging.
