We are excited to share a new coffee offering from the indigenous Ma'phaa communities of Montana Alta, Guerrero. Through our partnership with the Mexican-owned importer Ensambles, we aim to support these isolated farmers who struggle to survive in a region neglected by the state.

This coffee comes from the same communities that produce our Lost Highway blend. The Ma'phaa, also known as the Tlapanec people, face numerous challenges. Education is sparse and underfunded, and their isolation has left the region vulnerable to cartels cultivating poppies. Additionally, there is a long history of human trafficking in the area.

This particular lot is a blend produced by 20 women who are working against the constraints of a predominantly patriarchal society. Their determination to earn for themselves is inspiring, and we are proud to share the fruits of their hard work and resilience with you.
